Core recording, local storage, and local playback are designed to work without a continuous internet connection. Internet access may be required for software updates, account services, transcription, and cloud-based AI features.

Your recordings and Screen Timeline are stored locally by default. When you choose to use certain AI features, selected content may be securely processed by cloud-based AI services. Timemit will clearly explain which information is being processed before these features are used.
